My passion and commitment for over 35 years is public health with a focus on integrative holistic health education, behavior change, and training. I hold graduate degrees in public health (with a specialization in health education/health behavior) and instructional systems design (with a specialization in training and distance learning). I'm currently in a doctoral program in gerontology at the University of Maryland.

Over the years I've studied the growth and development that occurs in the second half of life. I enjoy facilitating small groups of men and women over age 50 who are ready to step into the full, rich wholeness of life. And, I've written a book, Flourish! 4 Steps to Release the Wisdom of your Inner Sage, that explains a four-step process to access your innate wisdom.
In my book ONWARD! With Spirit into the Full, Rich Wholeness of Life, I promise you a view that is distinctly different from other perspectives contained in many fine books about the second half of life. In this book, supported by thorough research, I say that with each day, life event, opportunity, and obstacle that we encounter we are growing, not declining. With each passing year, we are maturing, evolving, and moving toward healing and wholeness.
PUBLIC HEALTH, TRAINING, and INSTRUCTIONAL SYSTEMS DESIGN
As a public health professional for over 35 years, I have worked with governmental, non-profit, and private, health-related organizations to develop national and local health education and training programs in all areas of health. I work with national experts to develop training programs for health care, public health, and mental health professionals at the national, State, and local levels.
As an instructional designer, online teacher, and faculty development specialist, I have designed, developed, and delivered over two dozen courses in higher education.
I'm a doctoral student at the University of Maryland studying gerontology. My research focus is on the development and expression of wisdom. I'm passionate about learning and sharing the growth and development that occurs in the second half of life.
Fortunately, our culture's limited view of aging is undergoing a profound reconceptualization and we are well into the conscious aging movement. A contemporary and compelling new vision is emerging that includes full self-expression, continued intellectual growth, meaningful work, authentic & loving relationships, taking care of unfinished business and living in integrity with ourselves.
